Labor Day Weekend Camping

August 30-September 3, 2007

Michele and Chris took a weeklong break from their busy lives to visit me this past weekend. We chose a campsite along Fremont Lake, where Michele got her first taste of camping since Hawaii.

Wednesday: Folks arrive around 6 pm, and we try out the Cafe on Pine for dinner.

Thursday: I work in the morning while the folks search for a campsite. Then they join me in the afternoon for a taste of lynx habitat surveys.

Tools of the trade: Compass, densiometer, calculator, clipboard

Friday: Day starts rainy, so we decide to head up to Jackson for shopping, food, and a look at the Tetons.

After some tasty food, we headed back to camp. Story continues with Part 2.
